Starting with the Labor Relations module, the search functionality has been improved. Simple/advanced search modes have been abandoned for a single, simpler search mode giving more relevant results. Here is a summary of the most important changes:
- The search is now done only in the most relevant fields : the record name (title) and file number.
- The search expression can now be contained anywhere in the field, without the user having to enter the beginning. For instance, to find the file number "SAI-GEN-2019-0023", it is now possible to search for "2019-0023" only, whereas it was previously mandatory to include "SAI-GEN-".
- Search terms separated by a space are now joined by the boolean function "and" instead of "or". For example, searching for "jean 2017" previously gave the results that contain "jean" or "2017", while the present results contain both "jean" and "2017".
These improvements will be progressively extended to other Sentinel modules, taking into account their specificities. We are constantly working to improve the user experience and we hope that these changes will simplify your work.
