Access to restricted event details
A new feature is now available, offering reinforced security for the access to consult an event's details.
Upon creating a new event, the “Restricted consultation” option allows to restrict the access to the details of the event based on each user’s permissions. (Read the “Permission management for restricted events” section).
The access restriction to the event can be modified at any time. All you need to do is to click on the eye icon and confirm the access restriction from the confirmation window.
Afterwards, the eye icon will tell you if you the access to the event’s details is authorized or restricted:
- Open eye: Access to details is available.
- Eye crossed out: Access to details is restricted
- The authorized users (open eye) can see and consult the event’s details
- The non-authorized users (eye crossed out) can see the event in the list, but cannot consult its details.
This permission can be granted or revoked from the “Administration” module.
Permission management for restricted events
The administrator must grant the necessary permission to each user for the access to the restricted events by checking the “Access to the restricted events’ details”. The activation of this option allows to select the events that the user can access, allowing them to consult the event’s details.
By clicking on “Select events”, a window will allow you to select the events’ details which the user can have access to.
Once the permission granted, remember to log off Sentinel and then, log in again to apply the permission changes.
